God Only Knows...

I may not always love you
But long as there are stars above you
You never need to doubt it
I’ll make you so sure about it

If you should ever leave me
Though life would still go on, believe me
The world would show nothing to me
So what good would living do me?

God only knows what I’d be without you…
(Sometimes, someone else's words say it best.  Thank you, Brian Wilson...)

  1. that is so sweet.
there are compensations to getting older...one is that you don't fight anymore, because they know what you are gonna say and you know what they're gonna say so you can just do it by number and save time..."fight number 3" oh yeah, well , fight number 3 to you , too"

  3. You look radiant and just made for each other.  My husband and I belong to the Brown Eyes With Glasses-Married Several Decades Club, too.  It's got the best people in it!  Congratulations.  *debbi*  p.s. I'm so jealous you're wearing real sweaters already--the big news tonight was it may get down to the 70s here tomorrow.

  5. You two actually remind me of two of my favorite people...

My aunt and uncle who are only a few year older than me because my mother was soooooooo young when I was born.  Aunt Julie has been more like an older sister my whole life, being just ten years older than me.

    Happy day Lisa.

Maybe there really is a happy ever after....

  16. Hi Lisa-
Congradulations on 29 years of marriage. That's absolutely fantastic and it's clear to me by just looking at this great picture of the two of you, their is a lot of love & friendship shared between the two of you.
Your poem made me cry and I truly believe it should be published.

As always, another great entry with a special treat by you......a poem.
    THANK YOU!

    Enjoy the day,

Not sure but need to think ahead for something special.   This year we went out to dinner.   Congratulations on your anniversary!  Not many of us make it that long anymore.   We are the lucky ones.   Nice picture too!
