God Only Knows...
I may not always love you
But long as there are stars above you
You never need to doubt it
I’ll make you so sure about it
If you should ever leave me
Though life would still go on, believe me
The world would show nothing to me
So what good would living do me?
God only knows what I’d be without you…
(Sometimes, someone else's words say it best. Thank you, Brian Wilson...)
that is so sweet.
ReplyDeletethere are compensations to getting older...one is that you don't fight anymore, because they know what you are gonna say and you know what they're gonna say so you can just do it by number and save time..."fight number 3" oh yeah, well , fight number 3 to you , too"

Lovely. I hope it was a good day.
ReplyDeleteYou look radiant and just made for each other. My husband and I belong to the Brown Eyes With Glasses-Married Several Decades Club, too. It's got the best people in it! Congratulations. *debbi* p.s. I'm so jealous you're wearing real sweaters already--the big news tonight was it may get down to the 70s here tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! Congrats to you both.

You two actually remind me of two of my favorite people...
ReplyDeleteMy aunt and uncle who are only a few year older than me because my mother was soooooooo young when I was born. Aunt Julie has been more like an older sister my whole life, being just ten years older than me.
Happy day Lisa.
Blessings Lisa!
ReplyDeleteNo one appreciates a wonderful relationship more than a person who can't seem to find one....
You give me hope....
Maybe there really is a happy ever after....
Hope your love is doubled each day!
Wonderful!

Your poem made me cry and I truly believe it should be published.
