Administration Information Police Strike Again

Is there any limit to the lengths the Bush Administration will go to control the information the American people are allowed to receive?  This is very, very disturbing...

Climate Expert Says NASA Tried to Silence Him

By ANDREW C. REVKIN Published: January 29, 2006

"The top climate scientist at NASA says the Bush administration has tried to stop him from speaking out since he gave a lecture last month calling for prompt reductions in emissions of greenhouse gases linked to global warming."

(You'll need to create a log-in to The New York Times online to read the story.  Go ahead...its easy, it's free, and having access to a little information never hurts.)

  1. Unfortunately he's not the only one to claim that he's either being silenced or asked to cook the books. Maybe just the most prominant. Anybody who catches this comment. Check your local paper. With luck there is a story today (Sunday) The the Eugene and Portland, Oregonian papers covered the story today.

  2. I heard him on NPR last month. It was very scary. We have to do something now because if we wait 10 years it will be over for us. Very scary.

  3. I applaud him on insisting on making noise and bringing their attempts to silence him to our attention.  I've been watching this story with increasing agitation.  I saw him on CNN this morning and he said something along the lines of "in a democracy, the people need to be informed".  How true!!  Makes you wonder if anything will be said at the State of the Union that is based in truth.
