Running on Empty

The last pan of pumpkin bars. Baked, frosted and quickly disappearing to customers who know they’ll never get another one.

Out of: Turkey. Tuna. Salsa. White bread. Link sausage.

Gas. Energy. Inspiration.

Oh, and we have reservations for a full restaurant tomorrow. Mothers’ Day. Our last hurrah.

Hurrah? Right now, I can hardly squeak and wave a finger.

Think good thoughts for me.

Until tomorrow, around 3:00 pm.

  2. Yes, many good thoughts for you. If I lived closer I'd head over around 3pm with a bottle of champagne - to celebrate your final Sunday at the restaurant and my first at this church...beginnings and endings...the circle of life.

  5. Well, I can send airy candles and otherworldly primroses your way but, somehow I don't think that'll work for bubbly. ;-)

Big hugs, shoulders when needed and we'll be thinking about you tomorrow. Not an ending, a beginning. When you finally come up for air.

  8. You've made it - head still attached and heart open to yourself. Take a minute to breathe and begin to feel the peacefullness fill your soul. ...and breathe, go outside, and breathe... look up and soar with the wind, and breathe...
