What's Wrong With a Little Love?

Why is everyone so cranky and dismissive of Valentine's Day? Yeah, it's been turned into a consumer frenzy. Yes, it's been commercialized to the point of total nausea. And it is even used to make us feel guilty that we're giggling about love when there's so much suffering and horror in the world.

But isn't that exactly the reason we should take every advantage of a day that pushes love into the foreground of our lives? There is entirely too little of the stuff being spread around these days. Why not use today to advance the cause of love...to your mate, with your family, in your neighborhood, around the world. Or only to yourself. As close or as far as you want to reach.

Love .

                  Don't leave home without it.

  6. From your lips to all the drivers' ears! Last night was one of my most horrendous driving experiences to get home. People were cutting people off, honking horns, blocking intersections, squeezing people out from merging. It was nuts! And, all I could think was some day of love this is! :-) ---Robbie

  12. LOL, yes a lot of people complain so much about Valentine's Day and how it's just some manufactured holiday to make people spend money.  Which I suppose is the truth.  But I'm with you.  I'm not really all that thrilled with Valentine's Day, but it doesn't necessarily *bother* me either!  I think it's fun to have celebrated days in your household, no matter what the reason. :-)

  13. There is nothing wrong with love but you have to understand there are people in this world who do not love us.

Oh, I remember the song: "What the world needs now...is love, sweet love...."

You have to remember, miraminiak, some part of this world will not accept love from the western world....lighting candles and singing songs mean nothing to those who want to kill us.

And on that thought, I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day because I did...
