Isn’t it interesting that our Republican Secretaries of state and defense are marching around Iraq, calling upon the minority Sunnis to abandon their violent insurgency and put all their political eggs in the new government’s basket… Even as Republicans in our federal government are vigorously pursuing the course of assuring absolute power for the majority party, and absolute subjugation of the minority opinion? This would be the "Do as I say, not as I do" school of spreading democracy throughout the world…

This country has always been better at the "do as we say, not as we do" school of philosphy.

And the mindless masses will continue to support them.
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteWhat a bunch of dam hypocrytes these republicans are, especially in Iraq. No wonder the people of Iraq and Afghanistan hate us so badly, they can see right through these knuckle-heads! They are certainly not stupid, but republicans seem to think that they are.
I dread next week and what is going to happen in the U.S. Senate. I have taped ALL of the hearings and will do so also next week. I will be writing a lot about the events of our senate next week and if indeed the 'nuclear option' is used. I pray they filibuster to the very dam end!
Have a great Sunday,
Gayla
I so agree with Jackie's comment! The more I learn about history and our role in it, the more I believe that statement. :-) ---Robbie
