Some years ago, Americans made the conscious decision that the way to make ourselves heard, the way to make things go our way, was to BULLY people into it. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it was right-wing talk radio that introduced the concept to an increasingly frustrated and voiceless electorate. Social media and the internet took up the idea and didn't just run with it, they took it supersonic. It has become our treasured and polished American character to be loud, mean, aggressive and abusive. Sound like anyone who's been in the news lately?
This country has been going down that road for many years...Trump didn't invent it. But he is the RESULT, the destination of our journey into meanness and ugliness. Americans CHOSE meanness this election. We CHOSE to declare our regrettably degraded national character before God and everybody.
